Introduction:
This online training, for equipment technicians, will provide you with the knowledge to operate, maintain, service and troubleshoot the Reliance® Vision 1327 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector. With the purchase of this course, you have up to five attempts or six months to complete the training (whichever comes first).

Course Goal:
This course provides the student with the knowledge of how to operate the Vision 1327 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector and perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and adjustments. The student will learn the theory of operation, normal and service modes, functional descriptions of the major components and which components must be checked according to the Preventive Maintenance Guide.

Course Outcomes:
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:

  • list the eight utilities required to operate the Vision 1327.
  • locate the power on/off toggle switch.
  • locate the two pneumatic door cylinders and describe their purpose and function.
  • locate the two door gaskets and describe their purpose and function.
  • locate the two emergency stop cables and describe their purpose and function.
  • identify the six primary safety components.
  • identify the five components that prevent cross-contamination.
  • identify the guidelines for safe operation.
  • perform recommended checks for daily unit inspection prior to operation
  • describe how to use the touchscreen to access the Cycle mode and operate cycles
  • describe how to use the touchscreen to access supervisor mode to make changes
  • locate the three RTDs and describe their purpose and function.
  • locate the three types of steam traps and describe their purpose and function.
  • locate the heat exchanger and describe its purpose and function.
  • locate the sump filter and describe its purpose and function.
  • locate the vacuum breaker and describe its purpose and function.
  • locate the safety valve and describe its purpose and function.
  • locate the water valves and describe their purpose and function.
  • locate the flow reducers and describe their purpose and function.
  • use the Preventive Maintenance Guide to identify and perform preventive maintenance procedures.
  • locate the Cycle Description Chart and describe its purpose.
  • list the schematic diagrams in the Reference Drawings section of the maintenance manuals.
  • identify two methods to use to contact STERIS technical support.
