Introduction:
This instructor-led training will provide your equipment technicians with the knowledge they need to operate and perform maintenance on the HexaVue® OR Integration Systems.

Course Goal:
This course provides the student with an in-depth understanding of how to operate the OR Integration (ORI) Systems and perform troubleshooting. The student will learn the theory of operation and functional descriptions for major components.

 

Course Outcomes:
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify and explain the HexaVue/IDSS Video Concepts, such as Video Formats, Paths, Terminology, and cables.
  • Identify signal types by their commonly used names and state the wires needed, connector types, and common usages.
  • Identify cables to determine whether the cable type is used in Analog or Digital applications.
  • Define standard cable signal terminology.
  • Identify and explain the main functionality of the HexaVue system Rack components and where they are located.
  • Be able to use the system documentation and identify the components in the wiring diagrams.
  • Use the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and its tabs to interface with the system components.
  • State whether a given component is a source or a destination.
  • Identify whether CXPS cards.
  • Identify and explain the main functionality of the in-room video components (Oscar Modules, Conditioners, Fiber Modems, and Converters).
  • Identify and explain the main functionality of the USBX components.
  • Perform a diagnostic test on the system components using the GUI.
  • Trace the flow of the signal through the schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Troubleshoot to resolve instructor-generated system errors.
Training Location:
This training is delivered at our STERIS Service Training facility in Mentor, Ohio.

the HexaVue® OR Integration Systems and perform preventive maintenance procedures without the worries of interrupting your facility’s operation. They can gain new skills, boost their confidence, and improve their productivity.
